The lineage of House Arryn can be traced back to Lady Alyssa Arryn, a highborn lady and servant of House Ethoria. Alyssa is said to have been an odd looking woman who looked twice her age. She was often addressed with care as if speaking to a Maester due to her extremely matured features. Lady Arryn was married to Freymon Lotte, a knight of the West and had five sons with him. Their marriage was said to be one unhappy union, nevertheless it produced heirs to the mighty seat of House Arryn.
Lady Arryn was also known for her sharp tongue and infamous condescending tone when speaking to those she deemed unworthy of her time. Lady Arryn was in control of most of the facilities of House Ethoria and the great Royal House flourished under her commands. However, it was rumoured that she had an affair with Persius Ethoria, a union that bore fruit. But, this was never proven and remained as one of the secrets of House Arryn and House Ethoria.
As Hand of the Queens, Lady Arryn would counsel Erin and Rheyna in their duty as Queens. She heavily advised Erin to take extreme precaution when acting against the growing traitorous House of Girelon, which Erin played with for a little while until her plans were solid enough to extract her sweet revenge.
Lady Arryn died in the age of thirty-four due to complications of the lungs. She was later succeeded by one of her sons.
