THE LEGENDS

THE TITANS

According to the legends, Olympus is the largest Titan to ever grace the land of Inmortalis. He was rumoured to be about 70 feet tall, if not taller. However, Titans became very destructive, as first creations of the Immortals they believed that they were perfect and ‘all-powerful’. This sparked their rebellion against the Immortals, which birthed the time of humans. In the beginning, the Titans saw no threat to the puny flesh of life created by the gods, though they were rather insulted that the Immortals have made such tiny creatures to live amongst them. However, when Lanier Leonhart, son of Aslan marched to the Southern West, he placed an end to the reign of Titans and conquered the land after driving his sword through Olympus’ heart. After then, the Titans were vanished to the face of Inmortalis, but they did left quite a few offspring that may raise the rule of Titans once more.

FATHER OF FIRE

As the god of Fire, Balerion was the father of the Bloodfyre twins. He was the dragon that roamed Inmortalis and guarded the skies and protected the sacred fire. Every Bloodfyre has his blood and he is responsible for the reign of the Bloodfyre twins. Every evening, red priests light fires and sing prayers at their temples, asking Balerion to strengthen Inmortalis. It is believed that Balerion will occasionally answer the prayers of his followers by granting visions and abilities such as raising the dead. Some rites performed by the red priests include sacrificial immolation. However, the harvest is also another sacrifice that is heavily encourage by the red priests. It is said that he was engulfed in flames before ascending to his final form, a Phoenix, which is a very powerful stage for a god to transform into. Balerion still lives to this day, guarding the skies and the sacred fire, as well as protecting his House and the children of his blood.

FATHER OF MOON

Nymeros was the oldest Prince of the North and all Wolfstones can trace their lineage to him after Arwyn and Lyria's union. It is said that Nymeros went into a state of delirium, which led to his decision to lock himself in the Tower of Crescent. But, as the full moon reached its peak, Nymeros painfully learned of his transformation and what he truly was, a wild wolf of the North. Nymeros has the abilities to create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows and was said to be invulnerable to most attacks and pain, granting him the ability of superhuman strength and endurance. As of today the legend of the big bad wolf remains. However, as Nymeros aged into a man, his power and lust for blood became stronger than ever, though Nymeros trained himself when it came to his transformation. It is said that Nymeros learned how to channel his rage so that he was no longer a subject to the moon, instead he grew to possess the power of the moon in order to possess greater resilience and healing abilities against his opponents.

Aslan is known as the Beast of the Western-South. Throughout the years before mankind was created, Aslan roamed the land of Inmortalis to secure his land away from manticores and basilisks. He is also known as the beast who haunts the caves and gorges of the Titan Mountains. It is said that Aslan possesses the ability to create and control thunder and surround himself with orbs of lighting like traps that will kill his surrounding enemies. He is also noted to have the power to can control the earth and was seen creating earthquakes. At night, especially in stormy weather, he arises and attacks criminals and other malevolent people. Aslan is the enforcer and peacemaker in Inmortalis, a noble god but a terrible enemy. He is most known for having such unbelievable senses that allows allows him to use any or all of his five senses to a god degree, allowing him to see, hear, feel, smell, and taste things that mortals cannot.

THE BEAST

Long time ago there lived a beautiful goddess named Pandemonium. She was considered to be the most beautiful goddess to ever live in the land of Inmortalis. Unfortunately, Pandemonium was very proud of her beauty and thought or spoke of little else. Each day she boasted of how pretty she was and each day her boasts became more outrageous. Little did everyone know that Pandemonium was really a snake goddess who was hideous but took the face of a beautiful maiden to lure her prey. Pandemonium is known to be able to petrify her enemies into stone, killing them instantly. She is also able to regenerate and heal both damaged and diseased bodily tissues and organs. However, her greatest power is the ability to bend and seduce someone to her will through several mediums, like sexuality, beauty, presence, scent, desire, pleasure, love and lust, without those being manipulated knowing what's happening to them. With this power, no one, not even Gods can resist her.

MOTHER OF SNAKES

Ivies (ee-vi-es) enjoys something of an ambivalent and confusing position because it is not extremely clear as to whether she was considered a night-demon or a dark goddess. She is known as the ‘Mother of All Monsters’ and built her lair under the rocky cave of the Ivy Mountains. It is said that as soon as it was dark, Ivies emerges from her cave to do harm to those she had taken spite against. In this she was accompanied by many other foul and dangerous creatures, but whenever Ivies travelled away from her cave she always brought with her a red cherry scented rose. This rose attracted both humans and faes alike, and with one small sniff they will immediately die a horrible death. Ivies was also known for birthing many horrible creatures Inmortalis has ever known, such as Cerebus, Merrows and Abere. She is most notably known for her ability to cast illusions that can be permanent or temporary, can be of the surroundings, copies of herself, other beings and other magical or supernatural things. Most of these Illusions are meant to break the mind of the victim.

This is the war that sparked the Millennium Extinction between the gods and their beloved creations. It was also the war that ended the lives of two great kings and took the lives of many men from all the Five Houses. The war began when King Lanier Leonhart murdered Erwyn Wolfstone, the heir to the throne of the North. When King Arwyn Wolfstone marched from the North to the South with vengeance written in his sword, King Lanier Leonhart held his ground and accepted the war. Although, half of Inmortalis was siding with the King in the North, knowing how the lion King was the one who murdered Arwyn's heir in cold blood. Many have said that when Arwyn and Lanier fought, no one could tell who would live or die, as both Kings were so skilled in battle that it was unclear whether the fight was going to end. However, both died before the sun set in the South with Lanier dying a horrible and painful death from the poison infested wounds he received and Arwyn from his deep and untreated wounds.

WAR OF THE PILLAR FATHERS
SIEGE OF CRESCENT

Once more the Leonharts and the Wolfstones were in a disagreement that sparked another rebellion against the treaty of peace. When the Southern men marched to the North without warning, King Willark Ravenfyre was forced to call upon his banners in distress, knowing that he was caught unprepared, but what more was that his Queen, Davina Ravenfyre was with child. Knowing that she would only be at least safe in the tower of Crescent, Willark asked his Kingsguard, Ser Torren Moonstone and Ser Khaos Darwyn to protect the Queen in the Tower of Crescent. However, the Leonhart men was still able to break through Willark's Kingsguard, which forced Queen Davina to rip her heir from her swollen belly and die in order for her babe to live. This war ended with a dead Northern Queen and a dead Southern King, after King Willark defeated King Leonard and took his head as a threat to the future heirs of the Leonhart throne.

THE LOST QUEEN

Queen Pyrenna Ignatius, also known as the Lost Queen, is a cruel, selfish and vain ruler of the underworld who is also a powerful witch. Through a spell that her witch mother had cast on her when she was young, Pyrenna could retain her youth and extend her life indefinitely by draining the youth of other young women. However, as revealed by her crow, this did not equate to true immortality, which she could only achieve by consuming the heart of "The Prince of the North". It is only by doing so that her powers will never weaken, and she will never age or need to consume youth. When Pyrenna stepped out of the underworld to seduce Prince Nymeros, she was able to conceived a child with him, which she later named Corvinus. It is said that Pyrenna fell in love truly with Prince Nymeros and that she had died, but some say that she's still lurking amongst the shadows of Inmortalis, waiting and watching the New Era.

THE RED MOON

A Red Moon is the symbol of death. Anyone who shall see a Red Moon can know that they are not safe even inside their own chambers. When the Red Moon is up it means that even the strong Five is not worthy of its powers. The Red Moon ONLY gives strength to evil creatures with the darkest souls. This means that most wicked wolves, lions, dragons, snakes and poisoned roses are given heightened power to cast evil upon the land of Inmortalis. Red Moon signifies the blood of the innocents who died in the war throughout the Millennium Era.  This is why all the Five Houses are either weak or strong, depending if they hide magic within them, which means that the Red Moon will only strengthen their powers if they have any. However, a prophecy states of a child. A Red Moon child will bring destruction and suffering throughout Inmortalis.

Sea Monsters ruled the Northern seas as well as the South. They took at least a hundred lives every single day before Arywn Wolfstone wiped their entire race from the land of Inmortalis. It is reported that after the Millennium Extinction, records and tales of Sea Monsters sightings are emerging  once more, which is a sign of a new battle and a beginning for Inmortalis. Although, no one has proven that the Sea Monsters indeed have relinquished the seas, many of today believe that they will return and another warrior shall repeat the history or die trying.
