THE CULTURES

THE SPOKEN LANGUAGES

There is an emphasis on assimilation and language. The language spoken throughout Inmortalis is called the common tongue (English). However, the Five Royal Houses does have their own languages that had been passed on throughout generations. Only the royals who have been taught these languages are the only ones who can speak it now.

The Five Royal Languages:

-Agrawyn (Greek): The old language of the North spoken by Arywn Wolfstone and his allied Houses. "Eímaste i nýchta" is how you say "We are the Night" in Agrawyn. This is what Agrawyn looks like when written.

-Luceti (Russian): is the old language of House Leonhart spoken by Lanier and his people. Not many know this language to this day anymore. "Vse zhivotnyye dolzhny poklonit'sya" is how you say "All beasts shall bow" in Luceti. This is what Luceti looks like when written.

CURRENCIES

The highest currency amongst the money in Inmortalis is a Mortalis golden krona. These golden krona all vary in design, but coins minted since the rule of the Original Five Houses will be stamped by their monarch's faces. This was done to ensure that if another House paid a hired assassin to excute a ruling Monarch, everyone would know whose House is responsible for the crime committed.

This is an example of what a Inmortalis golden krona looks like. This was Lanier Leonhart with his face stamped on a golden krona.

The second most valued currency is the Mortalis silver sica. The silver sica is designed to have the Fae Goddess Ivies stamped on the silver coin. All the silver sica are the same throughout the land of Inmortalis.

Lastly, the Mortalis aes mors, which is the lowest currency and the most common within the villages. The aes mors are commonly used by peasants and common folks instead of Royals.

FAITHS AND GODS

The Faith of the Five is the most dominant religion of Inmortalis, and is often referred to as the Faith. The only parts of Inmortalis where the Faith is not widespread are Dragonsgate and the North, where the practice of worshipping Balerion and Nymeros respectively are still strong. The Faith of the Five consists of: the Father who represents judgement; prayed to for justice.

The Mother who represents motherhood and nurturing, prayed to for compassion.

The Crone who represents wisdom; prayed to for guidance.

The Warrior who represents strength in battle; prayed to for courage and victory and the Stranger who represents death and the unknown; worshippers rarely seeks favours from the stranger.

ROYAL CROWNS

Traditionally crowns are passed to the royal who succeeded the previous sovereign. However, most of the royal crowns of the Five Families are stored and kept as a treasure of their House.

In the Bloodfyre monarch, Eira's crown is worn by the current ruler Kenna Bloodfyre.

In the North, King Daemon does not wear Arywn Wolfstone's crown. Instead he wears his own forged golden crown with obsidian and ruby stones.

In the South, King Tommen Leonhart does wear the crown of Lanier the Lion. It is a decision and blood right to pass down the crown to the new King.

The current ruler of House Ethoria wears the crown of late Seductress, Erin Ethoria.

The current ruler of House Girelon wears Serafina's most treasured crown.

Not many know where to buy potions anymore. It is not a common practice to use them, but there are still a lot of vendors who sell potions in Pentos and at every Market Square in each Houses. The most common potion sold around Inmortalis is the Bellus Blitzer (costs 400 aes mors), a potion that makes the taker very beautiful, which is very common with Whores around Inmortalis.

However, there are still dark potions like Draco's Venom (costs 170 golden krona), which is a poison taken from a dragon and prevents the victim from breathing while it slowly and painfully dissolves the brain. The Rosal Poison (costs 600 golden krona), however, is known to be the most grusome poisons ever made. It is a potion that has no odour, clear as water and tasteless.  It used to be a common potion in House Girelon and has been rumoured to have killed over a hundred men.

THE MAGIC

It is said that Ice Dragons originated from beyond the wall, but in truth, they originated from the union of Athena and Argon from the North. Argon, who was Eira's bastard son to a very bastard fire Fae of House Blackwood, created the creatures that would then protect the North from the threat of other Houses. It is even said that these Ice Dragons built the great Frozen Wall of the North. Ice Dragons, however, are unable to withstand heat for too long. They cannot travel far South, as legends say these Ice Dragons would melt and die.

However, it is proven that when harsh winter comes to the whole of Inmortalis, sightings of Ice Dragons from the South were reported before the Millennium Extinction. But, sightings of Ice Dragons in the present day remain to be seen by people yet again.

Most of the Ice Dragons back in the Age of Heroes resides in the Frozen Island and along the Frozen Seas. They are beasts much larger than most fire-breathing dragons.
