The lineage of House Creus can be traced back to Rickard Creus, a servant boy who Lanier often fought and trained beside with. Lanier and Rickard were great friends growing up and it was rumoured that it was Rickard who introduced Lanier to women he was acquainted to and was said to have been the matchmaker for Lanier and Lyka Kolt's unnamed high-born mother. Rickard is a skilled thief but when House Leonhart marched to the East to defeat the Rule of Titans and save Serafina Girelon, Rickard followed suit and fought alongside Lanier.
After his service, Lanier gave Rickard the chance of nobility and to get out of poverty and Rickard swore his undying allegiance to House Leonhart. However, Rickard was also known to be just as bad as Lanier when it came to womanizing, he visited whore houses from all different slave cities, fathering an unknown number of bastards in his time.
But, when the time came and Rickard was called in another war, he performed his duty once more and fought alongside Lanier in the War of the Pillar Fathers. Rickard, however, perished in that battle and was later succeeded by his eldest son to rule his seat of power.
Rickard is known to have a tanned complexion and golden fair hair with brown eyes. He passed on this looks onto his children with Arianne Clemont.
